The story of the Theban King Kreon’s daughter Megara is embedded in the myth of Herakles, whose first wife she was. Notice that the woman Megara’s personal name is the same as the name of the ancient Greek city Megara, with which she is however not necessarily connected (although she may be; see this detail too in the file about Herakles).
