    Three divine dragons from the time of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
Notice the five-clawed feet that distinguish these specifically allodynamic
dragons from others in Taoist mythology.

    The two divine dragons in the upper span of this panel of Kho-ssu
silk tapestry guard the Flaming Pearl of the sky (i.e., the sun), while
the coiled dragon facing the viewer in the water below guards the Pearl
of the Deep (i.e., the imperial treasure).
